Compression Process of Chemical&Petrochemical Industry



There are three parts for the compression process.


Chemical Process | Petrochemical Process | Process Industry | Corken

Process industry - Transport of the process from bulk material into finished product.

Energy industry - Energy production & sale : refined petroleum and natural gas extraction etc.

Transport industry - It is very similar to process industry except that process industry relates with transport of interior plants and transport industry deals with transport of exterior plants.

In a word, compression system will be used for transport process.

    Compression process principles -

    First, pressure increases.

    Then, volume decreases and temperature increases.




    When temperature is somewhat high, polymerization among chemicals occurs.

    Side effect of polymerization and optimum design(SIEMENS)

    We call polymerization deposits fouling because of unnecessariness in final products.





    Mono Ethanol Amine(MEA) solution is used to wash caustic gas, and this process is called amine treatment.

    Dryer is used to dehydrate for the purpose of preventing from making hydrates.

    Compressed gas is transferred to cold box where the polymerization is controlled.

    By using boiling point for each chemical in cold box, separation occurs, and then pass through compressor to recompress for the transport and also cold box to control the temperature of fluid. .
